When Will the PS4 Be Revealed? |

With the coming of 2013, the eyes of the gaming industry have turned to one major question: what will be coming in the next generation? Nintendo has already thrown its hat into the ring with the newly released Wii U, but to many of the more hardcore followers, this was just a tease of the much bigger things to come from Microsoft and Sony. When it comes to the latter, their company VP says we could see the first of the PS4 around May.
As usual Sony has been keeping pretty mum about its plans for next generation hardware, but there's no real denying that eventual change is on the horizon. Just a few months ago, IGN leaked pictures of supposed PlayStation 4 development units so for anyone questioning if there is something coming next, you can bet that the answer to that is yes. Now I suppose the next thing to consider would be when is all of this going down? Many of us speculated that the PlayStation Press Event in February sounded like a pretty solid guess, but the company VP says an announcement may come just a little later.

In an interview with a publication called Emol, Hiroshi Sakamoto did spill at least a few beans when it came to the next offering in the PlayStation brand. To quote directly, he says that his company is "focused on E3," but, "the announcement could take place at that time, or maybe even before, in May." Sounds like a pretty direct suggestion if you ask me. When badgered further about something even earlier than that, he claimed that May would be the very earliest his team would be ready. That means you should all mark your calendars for May Day! Also don't forget the E3 will be going down June 11th-13th of this year as well. The rest is all just speculation.
