When the Aliens Attack It'll Be in an Orderly, Turn-Based Fashion |

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is going to be a game that returns to its roots. It has nothing to do with the XCOM FPS that has been in the works forever and subject to numerous delays...and the game that no one appears to want.
Conversely, fans of the old XCOM games have been pretty psyched to get their hands on a modern iteration of the sci-fi turn-based strategy games of old. There's nothing like taking apart your enemies in an orderly fashion, after all.
This new trailer for XCOM: Enemy Unknown doesn't show any gameplay, but looks pretty darn cool. It's very fast-paced, so it might make you think this will be an action game, but the gameplay we've seen in the past lets us know it's a real deal strategy game.
It will be out October 9th in North America and October 12th in Europe.
