What did Sega take out of the localized Yakuza 4? |

Whenever a Yakuza game comes to the West, fans worry about all the cut content from the original Japanese release, and for good reason. For Yakuza 4, it seems you don't have to worry so much.
There was quite a few content cut from Yakuza 3, particularly in the Hostess Clubs and the Japanese History trivia parts. Fans were disappointed with all the removals, so it seems Sega took heed of the clamor this time around. In Yakuza 4, there will only be two edits going into the localized version.

The Answer X Answer arcade quiz game will not make it to the West. According to Sega, they were unable to include this mini-game because the texts in it are in images, which cannot be edited. They unfortunately do not have the time to create new ones for the Western release. The other edit is the game's opening video. The Japanese release contained the song, "Butterfly City" from Zeebra, and because of licensing issues, Sega was unable to include that in the localized version.
That's about it as far as changes are concerned. Hostess side-stories, ping-pong mini-games, and the like will all be in the English version of Yakuza 4. There will also be a create-a-hostess mini-game. You might want to avoid forcing her to wear a lot of makeup because that won't be good for her self-esteem and stress levels.
