Watch: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - The Game GDC 11 debut trailer

Activision-owned High Moon Studios is taking another stab at the Transformers franchise with a video game tie-in for the third Transformers live-action movie. The studio has recently released a trailer full of what seems to be in-game footage in order to set up the game, which instead of being tied to the plot of the movie actualy serves as a prequel.

The trailer also gives us a quick look at the new Stealth Force transformation mode. It looks like it'll be exactly the same as it is in terms of the toys. Stealth Force lets player characters transform to battle-ready vehicle modes bristling with weapons without fully tranforming to robot mode. A halfway mode, if you will. Think GERWALK mode from Macross.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon - The Game is set to be released on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii shortly before the movie of the same name hits theaters in July. High Moon is developing the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
