Dead Space 3 is on its way. Well, sort of—the last update indicates a release window of February 2013. And while the game is still in deep development, that doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t take an in-depth look at the work that’s been done so far.

So here, if you’re into that sort of thing, is around 20 minutes of officially sanctioned Dead Space 3 gameplay. The video is narrated by executive producer Steve Papoutsis, who will help explain some of the big changes made for this iteration of the franchise. Make of it what you will:

It definitely looks different from the other two games in the series, though similar in many ways. I’m not certain how much the fanbase will appreciate the game’s clear focus on action, though. EA’s touch is clear to view.
