From the moment it was announced, hardcore survival horror fans have been skeptical about Resident Evil 6. Resident Evil 5 was a lot more action-oriented than previous games, and don't even get 'em started on Operation Raccoon City.
This new gameplay footage for Resident Evil 6, however, looks quite...Resident Evil-y. It puts you in the shoes of hero Leon S. Kennedy as he makes his way around a college campus that is the scene of a zombie outbreak. It's slow, plodding, and suspenseful like the Resident Evil games of old. Sure, Leon can pull off a little more funky moves, but you have to expect that after fighting monsters for a few years you might learn a thing or two.
Resident Evil 6 will be out October 2nd, 2012. Check out the gameplay footage below.

Speak for yourself. I LOVED co-op Resident evil. The original was supposed to be cop op, but tech limitations made it not work.
