The date has been set for Relic Entertainment's latest third person action shooter.
THQ today announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, the latest installment of the Warhammer saga. Set in the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe, the upcoming title will put you in the shoes of humanity's elite soldiers, the Space Marine, as you try to defend an Imperial Forge World from a millions-strong Ork invasion and sinister forces of Chaos.. "Through extensive genetic modification, psycho-chemical conditioning and years of rigorous training that would kill a normal man a Space Marine becomes superhuman," reveals the press release.
"When one of the industrial 'Forge World' planets where humanity creates its greatest weapons, comes under attack and the thousands of imperial soldiers stationed there are overwhelmed the only thing standing between this planet and its total destruction is your Space Marine."
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is scheduled to be released worldwide for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in August 2011.
