One of the most prestigious award ceremonies to grace videogames are the BAFTA’s, and this year’s winning title(s) are hereby revealed!
The winner of this year’s show’s ‘Best Videogame Award’ was Portal 2, which isn't a bad choice at all. But the public were also able to vote for their favourite game through GAME, the retail outlet, and the public vote? Battlefield 3, winning GAME’s own award and decided based on ‘hundreds of thousands of votes’.

Batman: Arkham City grabbed best Action Game and Peggle HD won the Mobile and Handheld Award, a category that’s more important and big now than ever before. Also bigger in mainstream gaming than ever before are indie games, and Notch won the BAFTA ‘Special Award’, giving a talk to the BAFTAs about how his intention was just doing what he ‘saw other people do’.
LA Noire grabbed best Original Music and LittleBigPlanet 2 swiped both the Innovation and Family Game Awards.
In all I think the ceremony reminds us of how good a year it’s been, but what do you think? Should something else have swiped the Best Game Award?
You can check out the full list of winners here.
