If you didn't know yet, all original tracks of Dan Forden, is included in Mortal Kombat. Dan Forden, of course, is the composer of music for all MK titles. The tracks, lifted off from titles 1-3 of the franchise, can actually be heard during your fights.
For you to do that, all you have to do is to press Triangle (PS3) or Y (Xbox 360) when choosing an arena from the character select screen. Once you've chosen, press "start", and then you'll hear Shao Kahn lauging out loud. Don't worry, for that's a sure sign that you've discovered something.

And then, when all that's done, the fighting stage begins, in which you will then hear the corresponding original music play in the background. It's not available on all Mortal Kombat stages, though, but here's the list of where it does work:
- The Courtyard
- The Deadpool
- The Armory
- The Streets
- The Tower
- The Subway
- Soul Chamber
- Rooftop Day
- The Temple
- The Wastelands
- The Living Forest
- Khan’s Coliseum
- Goro’s Lair
- Shang Tsung’s Throne
