Uncharted 3 feels wrong? It's not your Playstation 3, the game is just more accurate.

Having not had the benefit of being able to compare Uncharted 2 to Uncharted 3 in a small space of time (as I finished Uncharted 2 shortly after its release in October 09), I am sitting on the fence.

The aiming does feel off, but is this just because, as Naughty Dog claims, the game is just more accurate now, thanks to better programming?

According to Naughty Dog community rep Arne Meyer on the Naughty Dog Blog, Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond said that "aiming is identical to Uncharted 2", they even took a look at the values side by side.

What "is" different according to Justin, is the fact that they adjusted the sensitivity to be much "higher" in Uncharted 3, and that this is the likely reason why fans are complaining about the difference in feel in the new title.

Richmond goes on to say that, in Uncharted 2, you only had a finite number of directions (8, exactly) in which you could aim, "it is best to think of it as an 8-way arcade stick", according to Richmond.

In Uncharted 3, you deviate from this path much easier and much more precisely.

Now whilst this is an accurate explanation, it does not get rid of the real issue that things just feel 'off' when you are aiming around the map at various enemies.

When you add in to this equation the fact that Uncharted 3 for the PS3 has a number of other improvements in the gameplay engine, including the fact that enemies move substantially quicker, aiming issues creep in to almost every enemy encounter.

Finished the game yesterday and I must say that I indeed experienced a little trouble with the aiming at times, but I wrote it off as human error and adapted to the new system quick enough. By the end of the game I had no trouble whatsoever with aiming.

I don't think this is something worth complaining about though, instead of complaining people should try and adapt themselves to the new system and learn to use it.

I enjoy differences in controls and what not, keeps different games from feeling stale and keeps them fresh and a challenge.

I've played Uncharted 1 & 2, both when aiming it felt slow when moving and really hated that.

I thought it was just me being rusty in the game

The sort of aiming issues people are talking about is very apparent when you are always aiming for a headshot. I'm still trying to adjust to the new aiming since there is now a kickback on my favorite pistols

It's just whiney little bitches moaning everytime something improves in a sequel because they expect to just jump straight in and understand the game, i mean if developers were always scared they'd lose customers everytime they change anything then well... Just look at Halo for the best example of completely unimaginative development.

yep you said it, the bullets shoot in real time now and straight from the barrel, so if your angled wrong you'll miss, just like real life, in uncharted 2 it was like cod it hit where the aim said and the shots didnt go from right out the barrel, if it was really a problem i know ign would have said something. and honestly thank you halo has not changed since first released one of the most over rated series of all time. and this improvement is wrong crap ppl have been doin now a days need to stop. they complain when sony puts a ps3 update. they complain when facebook changes sayin i hate fb f you face book etc. cuz they can't adapt to change, facebook is way beyond what it was years ago, but still every update since release its only getting bit** about. update and changes is what makes these things great and glad someone knows that

To be honest, i notice nothing wrong with the game and i have played it for 5 days now.
