UK charts: FIFA 12 unseats Gears of War 3

EA Sports' latest footbal/soccer offering, FIFA 12, debuted on top of the UK all platforms charts last week, taking the top spot from last week's number one title, Gears of War 3, according to the latest figures from UK tracking firm Char-Track.

Its pretty impressive debut also made the game the third biggest all formats launch ever in the UK, outdoing last year’s title, FIFA 11, by overtaking Grand Theft Auto IV, with only Black Ops which still setas at number one and Modern Warfare 2 at two, holding it back.

Rounding off the top five for the ending October 1st are - Codemasters F1 2011 at number three, 505 Games surprise hit Zumba Fitness at number four and Deep Silver's Dead Island at five.
