Twisted Metal demo on PSN today

The history of Twisted Metal's development has been fast and furious in my eyes. The game simply was announced from nowhere and pioneered by the guys at Eat Sleep and Play and was pushed along by the awesomeness that is David Jaffe. Twisted Metal, the car combat reboot being developed exclusive for the PS3 is now out on PSN and can be downloaded to be played online. The demo offers eight vehicles to choose from and like always they have their own special power ups and story.

There are two multiplayer modes, classic free-for-all death match and the newly implemented team-based Nuke Mode. The apocalyptic trial-by-fire is their own take on Capture the Flag. There is also a challenge mode which I can't wait to try out, where you can practice with your vehicle of choice and hone your own skills.

I will be doing a demo of the great game tomorrow and I'll be giving you the low-down on all the new things to expect from it. The game launches and will blow up in your face in the US on February 14th and in Europe 3 days later on the 17th. Wow, that's less than three weeks away.
