Twisted Metal all set for Valentine's Day

David Jaffe has officially announced the new release date for Twisted Metal on the PS3. The cult favorite vehicular combat game is now set to debut on Sony's home console on Valentine's Day, February 14th, in North America.

The announcement was made by Jaffe himself on the US PlayStation Blog saying: "It's a very romantic game, I predict people will come home from their romantic dinners, and play the crap out of local split-screen."

Developed by Jaffe together with Scott Campbell, co-founders of Eat Sleep Play and the original creative team behind the original Twisted Metal, the long awaited installment of the series brings back the dark humor, fast-action gameplay, signature cars, weapons and destruction that we all grown to love. It also includes a robust online system, where you can slug it out with up to 16 players through PlayStation Network and battle your way through a variety of soem classic and new game modes. Jaffe also previosly hinted that the game might support DLC after it gets released.

I already pre-ordered. Worth the wait? I really believe so. This is the first time EVER I seen a company actually take pride and time and listen to the audience about a video game. In 2010, the destruction sucked? 2011, Jeff announced that the destruction improved. The dedication shown from this company is outstanding instead of being a company that's so isolated from the players themselves and releasing it as if you're being forced to swallow what they feed you. This will be a great start up of the Twisted Metal series. The multiple movies inside each character is worth $60 already!
