THQ unyielding over GTAV trailer

I have my pre-order for Saints Row the Third all ready, paid for and awaiting for the November 15th release date to come and it seems that THQ is far from afraid of me cancelling the game after the recent GTAV trailer coming out.

I have to say that the trailer is astounding, I showed it off to a few non-gamer people and they thought it was for a really good movie. I heard one of the best theories from an ex-gamer who said that it was good to see Tommy Vercitti back in the series and my mind was blown. If Tommy is coming to San Andreas as a family man, I could not be more happy. So is THQ CEO, Brian Farerll, who's game Saints Row the Third drops in less than a week.

He gave his regards to Rockstar Games abou their recent trailer, saying he went online like everyone else and said it's a high quality trailer and looks like another game in the Grand Theft Auto series. "It's a totally different positioning," Farrell said. "And if you read the forums it's like 'hey, I love GTA, and I love this game because it's a very different game that knows what it is and is very entertaining.'"

While a lot of these quotes are chopped up due to multiple reasons, the actual time and date the GTAV trailer was released coincided with the 3rd year anniversary of anti-violent-game pundit Jack Thompson being disbarred from practicing law. THQ, Volition have nothing to worry about as the game is probably about a year away and other than being a sandbox game about criminals, there are no other correlations between it and the GTA series.

Exactly, though I'd say December 2012 early 2013 would be the best estimate for release.

Besides GTA and Saints Row arent the only games of it's genre, and theres absolutely nothing there saying that they're rivals. They have their own things going on. I wonder if GTAV will include the face thing from L.A. Noire. I wonder if GTAV's LA will be any different

Whoever writes these horrid articles for this site needs to shut the F up. I live 2 blocks away from Volition (creators OF ALL the Saints games) and Know 2 programmers as well for it, and no one is "afraid" of GTA. WTF is wrong with you people?! They are 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAMES and the ONLY thing similar is the fact they are open sandbox games, thats IT.

And anyway if any of you has ever played GTA IV you should have learned your lesson by now that a good trailer doesn't always make a good game, because IV was just seriously boring where at least Saints Row was entertaining out the box without needing chargeable expansion packs to make it fun.
