THQ Tells Employees to Clear Out Their Desks |
Listed in: News Tags: bankruptcy, THQ
Sad but true. THQ gave word to its employees today in the form of a memo titled “frequently asked questions.” The employees were advised that they will no longer be employed by THQ beginning at the end of the day. We can assume the memo's intent is to answer questions that their employee’s would have about when they would no longer be working for the bankrupt publisher or what benefits would be paid out. The memo does in fact give them clarification on that matter. It explains that employees would have until the end of the day to remove personal items from their desk and that after today “access to the building will be shut off.”

Not all of THQ’s employees will be out of work. Some of the employees from the recently auctioned off licenses, studios, and titles could be offered positions under their new owners. Others will be without work and according to IGN no guarantee of a severance or any compensation for vacation time unused. Things could be worse though. You could be one of THQ’s employees who are in the US under a visa that was sponsored by THQ.

Who the hell actually believed that releasing a cheap-sh't tablet would be successful? God only knows! Activision have been lucky so far that their SKYLANDERS has worked out well for them but well of course, how could any parent say NO to their ignorant/innocent child who would want it.
And now Disney are gonna jump on too with their inFinTY bollox...
It just scares me to think how many Disney/Starwars/Marvel fans out there who maybe tempted to collect this JUNK............who are not kids......but Adults???
