THQ has released a press release to announce the name of the newly appointed Executive Vice President of Production Ron Moravek who will be reporting directly to the current President of THQ, Jason Rubin.

The new VP has been around for some time working for different companies in the video game industry for the last 14 years. Most notably was his seven year stay at EA Canada as VP and COO but his history with THQ go’s back as far 2004 when he was co-founder and COO for Relic Entertainment. He helped negotiate the sale of Relic to THQ and after the sale he stayed with Relic as the studios general manager for two more years.

The President of THQ, Jason Rubin, has tried to solidify the choice of appointing Mr. Moravek to his position of VP and COO by saying this about the new VP, “His entrepreneurial experience as well as his ability to drive dynamic teams is a great fit for our strategic objectives. Additionally, Ron’s experience building high-quality products will help us continue to deliver great games and build upon our foundation to innovate digitally in the future.”
I would like to wish the new VP luck in his new position and hopefully he can help turn THQ around, do you think they can do it?
