THQ has been in some rough times financially, which everybody knows by now. Unfortunately, that means South Park: The Stick of Truth and Metro: Last Light have been delayed. South Park has been pushed back to "early fiscal 2014" from March 5, 2013. Metro: Last Light and Company of Heroes 2 (a PC exclusive) have both been pushed back to March of next year.

All this came out during THQ's second quarter financial report, during which they also stated that their net loss is $21 million. Yikes. So now THQ has appointed Centerview Partners to find "strategic and financing alternatives" to keep the company afloat. If this fails, analysts are talking an equity sale or even bankruptcy.

THQ Pres Jason Rubin is putting on a brave face and saying that these delays will ensure higher quality games and ultimately more sales for THQ. He recognizes that the delays also cost money, but believes that a better end product is more important financially.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough.

Is THQ on the way out or will they survive this? Should they?

It depends on how well Darksiders II does on the Wii U.

So GG THQ.

Have I not been saying this since the trouble started? THQ is in trouble, they can no longer deny this and will have to make some tough decisions if they want to survive.
