Previous Witcher games have only ever appeared on PC and Xbox 360, but from the looks of a job posting by CD Projekt RED the next game - The Witcher 3 - may be making its way to the PS3. The job posting in question is for a "Multiplayer Programmer" for both Cyberpunk and a "dark fantasy world," so it looks like they're considering multiplayer for both games.

After all this was posted and the speculation was rampant, CD Projekt RED's head of marketing, Michal Platkow-Gilewski, decided to chime in and clarify things.

"As for the job ad, this post should be named Multiplayer/Online Programmer," he said. "I don't want to comment on what this guy will create, it's way too early.

"We want to bring to the team someone experienced in this field to evaluate our concepts and ideas. He will be one of the backbone elements of our R&D.

"We believe that there's still a lot of space for innovation in the RPG genre. At this stage of our games' development, we want to explore all possible directions, check what would be cool, what's feasible and - always the most important for us - what suits our games best."

Platkow-Gilewski didn't comment on the PS3 question, so that's still hanging out there, but it looks like one way or another both games will have some sort of online component. It may not be some kind of horrible tacked-on deathmatch, so let's wait and see.
