The date has been set for the latest adventure in the Northern lands of Middle-earth.
Warner Bros. today announce that The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, the latest video game adaptation based on J. R. R. Tolkien's novels and films, will be released on November 1, 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Developed by Snowblind Studios, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North transports gamers to unknown lands that have yet to be explored by the films, intertwining the characters and storyline between the novel and films. War in the North features a unique 3-player co-op system where players must battle, explore and team-up together to balance their strengths and weaknesses as a cohesive "fellowship of human, elf and dwarf, or falter and perish in their journey."
Earlier this month, Warner Bros. also revealed the game’s collector’s edition, a nifty package for the ulitimate fans which features behind-the-scenes looks at the game development, a specially crafted art book, digital download content and more.
