The Life and Times of THQ |

Since then THQ has closed its studio in San Diego and shutdown publishing in Spain and Italy and has sold off numerous assets over the last few months in an attempt to slow their losses and stay afloat.
Despite all of this THQ has tried to stay positive and look to the future and the release of games like Darksiders II and Saints Row: The Third DLC Enter the Dominatrix.
As of June 20 THQ has officially canceled the anticipated release of Saints Row: The Third DLC Enter the Dominatrix but it will be made into a full game. Or as CEO Jason Rubin put it "We believe the potential for this sequel is far greater as a full-priced, full-length, high quality, connected experience." But until a release date is set THQ has lost out on a potential revenue of $20 million this year. But we already knew that.

What’s new is the loss of a senior member of the company. THQ also announced that Vice President Teri Manby has resigned from his position as of June 14. He will be staying on board until July 6 to aid in the transition for the replacements for his positions as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
At this point Take-Two’s Mr. Zelnick’s thoughts on THQ’s ability to survive in the current gaming industry’s market could be on track. So in another six months we could be looking at a world without THQ.
What do you think? Is it time to start the THQ dooms day clock?
