Publisher 2K Games has announced today a new launch dates for The Darkness II, the long awaited follow-up to the million unit-selling 2007 title, The Darkness.

Originally scheduled for release this October, The Darkness 2 has now been given a February 7, 2012 release date in North America and February 10, 2012 internationally.
Currently in development under the wings of Digital Extremes and inspired by the supernatural horror comic book series created by Top Cow Productions, The Darkness II continues the journey of Jackie Estacado, head of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient and ruthless force known as the Darkness.
If you happen to be attending this week's San Diego Comic-Con, 2K Games will also have eight playable demo kiosks of the game in the Top Cow booth (#2629) for you to try out the game before anyone else.
