There was a rumor going around about a month ago that a LEGO Lord of the Rings game was in the works. Well, it's just gone from rumor to fact. There's a new trailer out and in keeping with what TT Games is doing for the new LEGO Batman game, these LEGO characters will talk.

As you can see in the trailer, instead of just muttering cute little nonsense noises, the characters here will have full voice acting. It actually just looks like they've taken the audio tracks from the LOTR movies and pasted them in. Of course, the balrog in the movie doesn't belch in Gandalf's face, but you get the point.

And damn is that One Ring big. I guess since LEGOs don't have fingers he'll have to put it around his wrist when he wants to turn invisible.

LEGO Lord of the Rings is due out this fall.

Awesome! Looks pretty sweet.

The sad part about this little trailer...the stairs breaking up and falling down looked better then it did in the movie!!! That's the one thing I always walk with when watching that episode is how pathetic that one special effect looked.
