No, it’s not a Prius decked out with fighting game logos -- I know because I asked.  Instead Tekken Hybrid is a triple threat game containing three titles on one disc:  Tekken Tag Tournament HD, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, and Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D. This little gem full of fighting game nougat and luscious battle caramel is only available on PlayStation 3.

Tekken Tag Tournament HD (man that’s a lot of T’s) was originally released as an arcade title back in 1999.  This game included two player tag battles, something called Tekken Bowl (which sort of makes me hungry) and two-on-two matches for bragging rights around the arcade.

Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D brings the Tekken universe and infuses it into a cinematic full-length film. Written by Dai Sato of Cowboy Bebop fame and directed by Yoichi Mouri, this alone is worth the purchase price.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue (again with the T’s) is another arcade title, but this time a Japanese one.  This will be the first time North American fighting game fans can get their hands on this beauty.  Nothing has been stripped away from the game, and you can enjoy all the fun those back in Japan are having when they jump in the two-on-two fray with their favorite characters.  You know, without having to fork over your hard-earned pocket money of course.
