Super Slim PS3 Announced |
Listed in: News Tags: assassins creed iii, dust 514, ps3 slim, uncharted 3
While it isn't the biggest shock in the PlayStation universe, the super slim PS3 has finally been announced. While the looks of the system don't differ to drastically from the last iteration, by specs it is a full 20% smaller than the older PS3 slim, and 25% lighter. When compared to the originally launch console, you can take care to double those percentages, making this the sleekest looking cell-powered machine of them all. Still, size isn't the only aspect that this announcement is able to boast.

In addition to the SKU's smaller size there is also quite a lot of storage capacity under the hood for a pretty low price. At just $270, you're going to be able to get a sizable 250GB hard drive that can be used to store more or less as much content as you can possibly desire. However, there are some of us that like to have the freedom of never worrying about how much space they have. For those types, you may want to consider the 500GB model that retails for just $30 dollars more. Hitting square on the $300 price point is a pretty solid deal for this great console, especially considering the updated presentation.
But wait there's more! Depending on which version you buy, you'll also be getting a free game and a credit to buy DUST 514 as well. 250GB buyers will be given Uncharted 3, while the 500GB shoppers can get their hands on a complementary package of Assassins Creed III. Sounds like an awesome value to me! You can check out these new PS3s as soon as September 25th!

So all I care about is that it's at least as reliable as the last Ps3 and doesn't have any less features.
