Spider-Man Knows How to Move |
Listed in: News Tags: amazing spider-man, beenox, ps move, Sony, spider-man, Wii, Wiimote
Sony’s PS Move hardware has sort of a colored history. On the one hand, it’s almost an exact clone of the far superior Wii nunchuck system. On the other, developers seem to be pushing the boundaries of Move much farther than devs have managed to push the Wiimote. Take, for example, this quick video showcasing PS Move’s integration with the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man game:
The trailer demonstrates the ways in which Move support adds additional control layers to the game. For instance, you can use the Move to select targets out of a group, or pick objects to lift and hurl at your enemies. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it looks like the perfect accompaniment to the rest of the more traditional controls.
If Move can get a little more attention from big devs and big titles (like this Spider-Man game and Sorcery), people may actually start taking the device a little more seriously. Maybe.
What do you think of PS Move and its integration into The Amazing Spider-Man?

the wiimote had 3 axis, the plus adds 3 axis more(the ps3 controller has 6 axis) move uses 6 axis + magnetometer(fo rdetect earth orientation)
the move is far more precise when pointing since it uses the same motion capture tech used at movie studios + detection of six axis plus inlcination based on the planet gravity + ambient-light adjustment for the controller VS. ir sensors(for pointing) and acelerometers(6 if plus is attached)
wiimote uses a wired extra controller with a stick, moves uses the same but wireless(a six axis controller can be used instead)
wii sells more and the wiimote its more popular than move or even kinect, nobody argue that, but you cant say wiimote its superior to move
