Sorry Folks, No Max Payne Demo |

It’s almost time for another Rockstar game to hit shelves, which means the unbearable hype machine and inevitable cascade of awards is just about to get rolling. Max Payne 3, the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, is set to launch next month, and fans of the series are already chomping at the bit to get a piece of that hot bullet-time action.

Unfortunately for eager fans (or those not yet sold on the game), Rockstar isn’t planning to make a demo version of the game available to players. In fact, that’s exactly how the company phrased it:

Bummer. If you want to play Max Payne 3, it looks like you’ll need to wait until the game’s official release. Which is sort of confusing, so here’s a list of dates:
- North America (Xbox/PS3): May 15
- Europe (Xbox/PS3): May 18
- North America (PC): May 29
- Europe (PC): June 1
Got it? Good.
Do you think Rockstar is making a mistake by not offering a demo of Max Payne 3, or is the franchise’s popularity enough to carry the game to success?
