Sony's New Entertainment Hub Unveiled - It's Nasne, Dontcha Know |
Listed in: News Tags: nasne, Sony, sony entertainment hub, torne

Sony has announced their new entertainment hub, called "nasne," for release later this year in Japan. It builds upon Sony's "torne" digital video recorder and works as a network recorder and media storage device holding 600 GB of data and also has a built-in CS/BS tuner.
Sony's saying nasne is head and shoulders above torne and will allow you to share content between your PS3, Vita, Vaio laptop, Xperia phones, and Sony Tablets. It can also stream from two devices at the same time while the broadcast is recording. You'll also be able to set up recording while you're mobile via your Xperia phone or Vita.
Torne will still work with nasne, though it adds CS/BS to torne's terrestrial-only digital set-up. This is reflected in nasne's price point, which will be ¥16,980 (roughly $200), versus torne, which is ¥9,980.
Nasne will be out in July in Japan, but it hasn't yet been announced if it will be coming to the US, Europe, or other territories at some point.

Look at Apple, they were able to get thousands of ppl to buy macs, ipods, iphones, itunes and they all sync together.
Figure since that's successful, why not someone else mimic them?

Sounds like a pretty useful piece of kit, I myself wouldn't buy it but I can see other people buying it.
