Promises to deliver "new and different game experiences" to the PlayStation community "that can’t be found on any other game console."

Here's a lil' taste of Papo & Yo

Sony has announced today a three-year, US$ 20 million dollar investment plan to develop PSN exclusive games. The investment includes support across both of the company's first-party studios as well as for the Pub Fund, which was first introduced at GDC in 2009. So what does it mean for us gamers?

"It means more unique, fun, innovative, edgy and higher quality game experiences on PSN that you won’t find anywhere else! We are excited for the upcoming PSN exclusive titles that are part of this three-year plan, including Eufloria, Okabu, and Papo & Yo, which recently received several accolades at E3, including Best Puzzle Game by both IGN and GamePro," says Brandon Stander , Director of Marketing of the PlayStation Network. "Under this investment, we’re committed to delivering titles that have innovative gameplay mechanics, vibrant visuals, interesting storylines and an artistic element to interactive entertainment that can only be found on PlayStation Network."

Previous PSN exclusives that had enjoyed great success includes titles such as Joe Danger, Critter Crunch, Flower and the PixelJunk series.

Why not use that money to better PSN? re build it and improve on the stability of the service and give "Plus" subscribers a few perks an over all better experience to anyone on PSN?

P.S. X-chat is a bit over due.

Pick up your fucking phone! Also, it's not going to happen. It can only work if the games you want it to work on were each updated for it to work on.

Who told you they didn't? They dumped money into that as well. But they can't dump every dime into it. That's called bad business sense. They have to do "other things" as well.

Or stick with the games idea since the whole purpose of the console is to play our games first and foremost

Instead of paying for more exclusives, actually give us some god damn good new features instead of removing them, Sony.

Is good news.

Stop chatting crap!

Exclusives are a good thing, more exclusives = more competition, meaning more better games.
The market has been a little lack luster as of late... it can only get better right?

Why not invest the money to give us a PS2 emulator for the PS3? There is a bunch of games right there.

PS3 and PSN is perfect the way they are...thanks for investing in great new games that seems to enrage plenty of xbox fanboys for they have nothing much to call just their own. The future of gaming should be invested in games, which only makes sense. :P
