Sony stock moves up after apology

Sony's apology yesterday apparently did a whole lot of good for the company, if their stocks are any indication.

Reuters reports that the company saw a positive movement in their stocks following the show of humility from top Sony execs Sunday, in Japan, relating to the recent PSN security breach.

Just last Thursday, their stocks plummeted as much as five percent, mostly due to the growing restlessness over the continued outage of the PS3's online service. With the press conference yesterday, it was reported that Sony ended up "outperforming the broader Nikkei index", closing up 2.5 percent to 2,316 yen.

Despite this, however, and despite the fact that some were apparently appeased by Sony's show of remorse, analysts maintain that the company still has a long way to go before they are fully able to regain their customers' faith.
