Sony releases what could be a PS Home teaser video

Sony has released a tantalizing new live-action trailer for... something. We don't know what, exactly, but it does seem to include quite a few nods to PlayStation exclusive franchises like Resistance, Killzone, and Ratchet & Clank. It features a small group of soldiers going to a castle (could be a fort, though). Once there, they leave their weapons behind and enter a room full of the sound of people talking.

The general concensus seems to be that the trailer is for the PlayStation Home redesign that Sony recently announced. Through the redesign, Sony hopes to make Home a hub for social games. One of the new features revealed is a futurustic transit place called the Hub where users can engage in games, quests, community events, and other activities online. From the Hub, users can transfer directly into free games or go from one game genre to the next.

Sony has yet to officially announce a date for the new Home's launch. The end of the trailer shows an October 5th date, though, so if it really is a teaser for Home then that's going to be the date to look forward to.

i would have agreed if i didnt notice Lightning (FFXIII) blade she uses in final fantasy XIII and ratchets Wrench on the gun rack. as well as the resistance trademark siren n twisted metal etc. i think its showing u can prolly cross game chat through ps home when they launch the new home. or just a big spin off title (like smash bros.) for ps3

The idea Sony have for a redesign is just giving us new spaces.. Thats it.. nothing else, just new spaces and a new layout. We'll still get the horrible animated characters with the plastic looking skin and every space will have people glitching up on walls because theres nothing better to do.

There's a faint silhouette at the end, coming through the "parchment" that has the date on it, it look like a man.

In any case, this is 100% for the FPS in Home they are adding, as the screenshot reveals the same type of weapon the two guys are using in this video.
