Sony Posts $198 Million Loss This Quarter |
Listed in: News Tags: Playstation, quarterly earnings, Sony
Sony has posted a net loss of $198 million in its second quarter. This is an improvement from their first quarter loss of $312 million showing a reduction of loss by 42.6% which is a good start. Software has done fairly well and shows a slight growth from last quarter’s 40.2 million to 41.4 million for PS3 and PS2. PSP and Vita software has also shown some growth from last quarter’s 8.2 million to 8.7 million.

Now I know that some of you are just thinking a loss is a loss and normally you're right but right now we are seeing Sony starting to reclaim their losses from last quarter. This is a good thing especially if they are cutting their losses by over 42% and especially right now as the whole industry is hurting across the board. If you're still not impressed than you should take a look at EA this quarter.
