SOCOM: Special Forces Beta tournament announced |

Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe announced today plans to launch a special tournament for the beta version of SOCOM: Special Forces.
The tournament is open to European PlayStation Plus subscribers, and Sony has partnered with ConsoleGaming.eu to run the tournament.

With the second phase of the beta having begun, it is clear that the overall feedback for the game has been overwhelming. Community members are treating this beta as if it were the real game! With this in mind, ConsoleGaming have partnered up with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe who are sponsoring a tournament on the new SOCOM, which will take place on the beta itself.
SOCOM: Special Forces releases exclusively for the PlayStation 3 on April 20, 2011 in Europe and on April 19, 2011 in North America under the name SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy Seals. The game is in development by Zipper Interactive, the same team behind previous SOCOM titles and MAG.
