Skyrim to be Christmas Number 1

Bethesda have had one hell of a year and with that year drawing to a close it seems to have paid off for them immensely with them slowly coming to be number one in the UK. While not exactly number one of the year, that goes to Mr. Modern Warfare, it seems that over Christmas people will be playing as a man in the great land of Skyrim (or a Jedi Knight).

This was helped along with the gigantic price drop of making almost every copy of the game fifteen pounds. A huge marketing campaign and obviously fantastic review scores which all have had an influence in making it the number one title over the Christmas holidays. While some of you may sigh and roll your eyes this is the first time in almost five years that it hasn't been an EA or Activision title on top of the list, so seeing Skyrim up there is a pretty big deal.

So FUS RO DAH to the competition as Skyrim will possibly end up being the game of 2011 for a lot of people. Unfortunately I'm yet to own a copy but will hopefully pick up one in the near future when the game becomes less than $70 in this country.

Just goes to show how many people don't care about the qaulity of the game there buying! It's these people who are doing the most damage to the gaming community and market. All these people buying Skyrim are doing is telling Bethesda it's okay to keep developing and selling unfinished, unpolished games.

Do you know how awesome this game is man,this game has more content then any 60 dollar game ever made and that's without DLC get your head outta you're ass or you might just take an "Arrow To The Knee".

Saints row 2 had loads of content, it was still a badly made piece of shit.

I agree with james27. The content IS the quality.

All big software are almost impossible to finish. A finished and polished game is a game without bugs and glitches. For as long as I remember, I have seen no game without bugs and glitches (except perhaps Tetris and games of the same kind..?)
