Have you ever played Silent Hill: Downpour? Did you like it? According to the game’s reviews, there’s a 50/50 shot that you didn’t think it was a huge pile of garbage. Some people seem to have loved it; some seem to have hated it. Either way, the game didn’t move quite as many copies as developer Vatra Games may have hoped.

Now, it appears the studio may be on the chopping block. Kuju Entertainment, the broader organization in charge, is reportedly “reviewing” Vatra’s prospects, which in other words means that it’s considering whether it should shutter the studio or attempt to get it back in the game.

Eurogamer is currently trying to get in touch with Kuju to get details, but so far it has confirmed only that the review was in progress. We’ll keep you updated as details roll out.

Did you play Silent Hill: Downpour? What did you think?

I don't know why so many people had bad things to say about it. I bought it and beat it three times for a platinum and I had a blast doing it. So many people said it sucked that never even played it or if they did they only played a little part of it.
