A load of details have been released regarding the highly anticipated upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto V, including the scoop on the game’s main characters.

The details come via the latest digital issue of Game Informer.  According to the folks at Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto V will have three main characters that you can play as, and you will even be able to switch between characters on a constant basis to see missions from their point of view with the single press of a button.

Here’s the breakdown of the three main characters:

• Michael – A retired bank robber in the witness protection program who’s in his 40s.  His wife apparently burned through all his hard earned cash, which has pushed him back into a life of crime.
• Trevor – Michael’s friend who’s also 40-ish and a career criminal.  He’s violent and described as being a drugged-out psycho.
• Franklin – The young one of the bunch in his mid 20s.  He’s a repo man who also does dirty deeds.

The three supposedly pull off heists together, which are said to be one of GTA V’s main themes.
