Listed in: News Tags: grand theft auto v, gta v, Rockstar

Sure, all the fans are anticipating Grand Theft Auto V, but that's not the only thing Rockstar's working on. As it turns out, they're also working on some "cutting edge" next-gen thing, according to their job postings.
In Rockstar North's ad for a Core Engine Programmer, they call for an "experienced programmer to focus on core engine development." It says the position "is an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge architectures and high performance systems for current and next-gen platforms." The candidate who gets the job will have to handle all aspects of the engine, including lighting, rendering, effects, and graphics.
Rockstar San Diego, meanwhile, is looking for a Physics Programmer to help out with "cutting-edge physics and collision systems" and the candidate will also "work closely with game teams to integrate new technologies." The candidate will have to have had " prior experience driving and developing a physics engine."
Alright, so what would you like to see from Rockstar in the next gen?
