Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band also joins next week's Rock Band 3 downloadable update.

Four new tracks are in store for all Rock Band fanatics next week, as Weezer joins Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band to celebrate the 200th week of Rock Band DLC.

The alternative rockers will add three new tracks to the Rock Band catalog, bringing their total contributions so far to twelve. Included in the upcoming update is “Perfect Situation,” taken from the bands 5th album, Make Believe. It also included my summer anthem, “Island in the Sun” and the gnarly “Hash Pipe.”

In addition, Janis Joplin and her crew will also add some classic flavor with their song “Me and Bobby McGee.”

Available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii starting September 13th, these tracks will include:

  • Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band – “Me and Bobby McGee”
  • Weezer – “Hash Pipe” X
  • Weezer – “Island in the Sun”
  • Weezer – “Perfect Situation”

All original master recordings, each track will cost US$ 1.99 / 160 MS Points / 200 Wii Points while the  “Weezer Pack 04” will set you back US$ 5.49 on all three platforms. As always, songs marked with an "X" will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for US$ 0.99 per song. If you somehow missed this week's update, classic rockers Cheap Trick and indie dance band EMF offerd their respective tracks to the ever growing Rock Band library.
