Rock Band 3 gets re-release with peripherals

Harmonix have teamed up with Mad Catz Interactive to re-release Rock Band 3 this holiday season.

According to the press release sent out by the company, the agreement will see Mad Catz bundle the Rock Band 3 software with its popular Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Controller, Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller and Wireless Fender Mustang Pro-Guitar Controller.

“We are pleased to assume publishing responsibilities for Rock Band 3 this holiday season," says  Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. "Rock Band is the ultimate interactive experience for any music fan, whether they’re looking for a great party game to share with friends, playing through Rock Band’s 3000 plus song library, or seeking out a fun way to learn guitar, drum or keyboard skills using Rock Band 3’s PRO Mode.”

The Rock Band 3 music library continues to evolve each and every week, as Harmonix provides the game with new set of tracks and downloadable Pro-Guitar contents.

Hope this means lots of new Rock Band consumers. Such a great, critically acclaimed game deserves more than what it got at the original launch.

does anyone know if the original launch was a short production or something? i remember that this game was out of stores in a few months and never restocked.

That's not right at all. Because I refused to spend $60 I kept an eye on it for a long time. After many months it never dropped, I finally gave up on it.
