Why did it take so long for Insomniac Games to confirm this Multiplayer feature? Obviously, they wanted everything down pat when they make the big reveal. Stevenson did close the blog entry, however, with a disclosure that they've been working on this for quite a while now, actually.
"We've been working on this new direction for close to two years now, polishing and refining our maps. We're having a ton of fun playing Resistance 3 in the office every day." Turning us green with envy, huh? No matter, we're going to get our hands on it soon enough, too, anyway. Insomniac has confirmed too that they will be sending out a multiplayer beta via the PlayStation Network later this year, so we'll just be on the lookout for that.
Anyway, they've got a five-minute gameplay video for Resistance 3's Multiplayer Mode, fresh off the GDC presentation. Have a go at it, and hope you like what you see.

60 Player Mayhem was hell of Fun. Cooperative was also very cool.
But this looks like they copied quite a lot from Battlefield and Call of Dutys Multiplayer. It should stay where their roots were. But okay lets see when the games out.
