It was announced last week that Resident Evil 6 would be getting a free social club in the form of ResidentEvil.net. There you'll be able to track your various statistics and achievements, challenge and be challenged by your friends, and earn rewards to buy more in-game stuff or figurines so you can make a little Resident Evil diorama on the site, if that's your kind of thing.

You'll also be able to set your account up to automatically update Facebook and Twitter with your progress, if that isn't embarrassing to you or your not worried about bombing your friends' feed when you're playing a marathon session. Some sort of mobile app will also be incoming sometime after launch. Check it all out below in a fancy trailer.

Capcom has also put out a new bit of footage from RE6 that shows Chris Redfield trying to handle a giant snake. No double entendre there.
