Elichiro Sasaki, Resident Evil 6's game director, said that to fully complete the game you're looking at 30 hours of gameplay. It's so long because you can play the stories of Chris, Leon, and Wesker Jr. separately. He told NowGamer, "The three characters each have their own story and you can choose whichever one you want and play that story, experience that character's story."

"In terms of length, each character's story is a little bit less than RE5 but when you combine them together you're getting something that is much longer. While each character's story stands alone, all of the characters wind up in the same area of the game, in China, so there is a certain level of overlap. They stand on their own but they do overlap in certain areas. You don't have to play them all, of course."

In related news, the details of the Special Edition of RE6 in Japan are just ridiculous. It's called the Premium Edition and it costs $1300. Seriously.

For that $1300, you get four different case covers for the game (one for each playable character and a "secret" cover) and Leon Kennedy's leather jacket. Not a costume in the game - an actual leather jacket modeled after the one in the pic below.
