Religious song not removed or changed in Bioshock Infinite Trailer |

The game Bioshock Infinite, if like it's predecessors, will touch on American Values taken to a new limit. The previous games have often tested the line between sanity and chaos when it comes to beliefs, both religious and scientific. The game's most recent trailer caused an uproar when the lyrics to a song contained the word "Lord" and was deemed blasphemous, due to the context of the game and subsequent trailer. Will the Circle be Unbroken, sung by Courtnee Draper, the voice actress who plays Elizabeth in the game, is far different and better than the original.
People got confused on the interwebz as they do, and got the lyrics from the original track and compared with this cover version, which does not actually contain the word Lord. The original lyrics from Ada R. Habershon written in 1907 does contain the word in the chorus, however, the song's lyrics were changed in 1912 and more versions and covers were changed by and by, through the years. Great artist's such as Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash have covered the song and changed it too...
Irrational Games Ken Levine confirmed this via Twitter saying that the word "Lord does not" feature in their new trailer. This is quite a different religious uproar from the removal of a song from the Little Big Planet soundtrack which contained an Islamic verse. It's seems strange to me what religious people will and won't allow in their video games.

One more thing, no religion also means freedom. Freedom to do anything you like. Even the negative ones. Your living proof, many can be found living in alleys and streets of your cities. Though, among them some is destined to live that way for everyone to think. And only those who think realize there is a better way of life. Living by principle. What is better principle than those provided by religion? You don't make your own life principle, its the same as being free (no religion) and will bound to change to satisfy your lust.

I'm struggling to think of even one war in the last couple of hundred years that was truly fought over religion. Even the Thirty Years War between the Protestant and Catholic European powers wasn't motivated by religion, but by the typical things - power, land, more prosperity and privileges - the typical things. The First and Second World Wars? These also were fought for control and power, territory and prosperity. Religion had absolutely fudge-all to do with either of them.
Honestly, you radical religion bashers are like a bunch of supercilious schoolgirls - tormenting your fellow classmates for wearing a brand of clothes that do not meet your approval. How religion could have had such a negative effect on your lives to justify your blasting it on the net in such zealous fashion is hard for me to understand, and paints you in my mind as utter narcissists. You might not want religion to be part of your life, but please don't insult others by proclaiming religion to be the greatest curse of human kind just because you chose to have it make you feel uncomfortable. I mean, who the hell are you?

Regarding value to the individual if there is no hereafter, I'd say that makes life sooo much more valuable. If you know you'll keep on living, maybe get into heaven if you are sincere enough when you say you're sorry (gotta love redemption), then where's the incentive to make the most out of your life the first time? To make your mark on the world in the short time you have?
In the end, you can follow your religion all you want. Don't assume I don't have morals because I don't necessarily believe in the man upstairs. You have no right to do that.
