Get ready to quadruple your experience points as Rockstar celebrate the July 4th weekend, Red Dead Redemption style.

"In honor of America's birthday and in keeping with its celebratory traditions of spectacle and excess, we're unleashing the first instance of Red Dead Redemption 4XP for multiplayers all around the world on both PS3 and Xbox 360 this July 4th Weekend," notes a post over at Rockstar's official site.
"Beginning by 12:01AM Eastern this Friday July 1st and running until 11:59 PM Eastern on Monday July 4th, all online multiplayer modes including Free Roam and Undead Overrun in Undead Nightmare will earn you quadruple the experience points during this extended holiday weekend."
Aside from the 4XP event, Rockstar is also teasing for a new set of DLC for the epic title, though some are speculating that it will be most likely the free "Fan Appreciation DLC," which includes "new fan-favorite playable multiplayer characters by popular demand as well as something for all players of Deathmatch, Grab the Bag, Gang matches and other online modes." The last DLC for the game was released last April.
