Rage racing non-mandatory for the most part |
Listed in: News Tags: id Software, rage
True, there will be a vast amount of racing featured in Rage. But before you go thinking that all that gunfire action will go head to head with burning rubber on the thick asphalt, id Software clarifies that this is not exactly going to be the case.
Explained creative director Tim Willits, much of the racing side of Rage is actually going to be optional. In fact, only two out of the whopping 25 races in the game are required for you to complete.

Said Willits, "It's actually quite difficult [to balance the elements] to be honest with you. We don't knock you over the head with the racing."
Customer satisfaction is definitely what id Software is going for when Rage comes out next month. That's why they're making sure that whatever add-on content they'll be coming out with, it's going to be what the players want. You better make sure you've got your console harddrives prepped for its arrival. Rage will use up 8GB on your PS3, while it's going to require a whopping 22GB for the Xbox 360.
