Some combat racing action is about to make its way to the PlayStation Network in the form of Fuel Overdose.  Here are some details about what you can expect from the upcoming game.

Details on Fuel Overdose came via a post on the PlayStation Blog by Skander Djerbi, the game’s executive producer.  Fuel Overdose was developed by I-Friqiya, a rather young studio with offices in Japan and the United Arab Emirates.  The game will launch on December 21^st through the PlayStation Network in Europe.  The North American release date, meanwhile, will come sometime in January.  The game is said to be somewhat in the mold of the Twisted Metal series, but with new elements to help make it unique.

As for Fuel Overdose’s details, Djerbi broke them down in terms of weapons, special moves, and more.  Weapons will include mines, rocket launchers, and machine guns that will come in handy versus your competitors.  A combo system will allow you to chain attacks, and each combo you execute will eventually convert to a bonus that fills your life gauge.  Various skill moves can be used at will, while super attacks and ultra attacks that affect multiple opponents at the same time will have to be used sparingly.
