PSN Will Be Down. Can you last 13 hours? |
Listed in: News Tags: downtime, PlayStation Network, psn, psn blackout
By the time you read this, it’s probably pretty close to the time this will come into effect (if it hasn't already), so listen up, you PS3 heads. The PlayStation Network will be down for 13 hours April 16th, from 9am to ‘around’ 10pm US Eastern time.

Sony are letting everyone know, so you don’t lose your shizzle and assume the worst when you fire up your PS3/Vita/PSP tomorrow and see that you can’t access the PlayStation Store, PS Home, Account management or even play online, because that’s what Sony say will be affected.
The reason for the downtime? A routine “scheduled maintenance”. Matthew Harper, senior manager for PlayStation’s digital platforms, says that even PSN enabled websites will not be able to service users, “including this one”, referring to blog.us.playstation.com.
Since the downtime is a little blurry, I’d start checking out the PlayStation Twitter feed around 9pm to get an update when things are back running again.
