PSN outage rises to the top of Google search

The PSN's never been in such demand over at Google. Too bad it had to take a major outage for it to happen.


Millions of people have been majorly inconvenienced by the downtime of the PSN service, that they have come to Google to find answers and, probably, relief. Just check out that screencap below:

That's a Google search image with the questions "Why is PSN down" highlighted. Okay, so it's number four. However, if you really want to see how big of a deal the PSN search is on Google, this is what you have to check out:

In the past week alone, the search for "PlayStation Network" rose 1.750% around the world. Now, that's data for the last seven days. If you remember, the PSN issue only started three days ago. I know, that's several dog years already to some people, but by Google search standards, that's just 72 hours. To see an increase that much really is impressive!


Unfortunately, however, while Google provides for answers as to why the PSN is down, it does not provide a remedy or a quickfix to it.

BAhaha, i haven't played my xbox for 2 years now, but this is fucking hilarious. losing practically a whole week of online gaming would suck ass back when i gave a shit about games...(meh, played some portal2.... there's a game you can play with no online :D)

Real question is why people only say psn has been down 2-3 days. Here in Vancouver, BC the psn has been down since Wednesday April 20 and it is now Monday April 25. Sony is actuyally moving into day 5 rapidly for the server down time.

What sucks is I found White Knight Chronicles 1 which requires some online play and can't check out half the games features cause of this server outage. Only caost me $23 bucks which was a good deal for the game. Thankfully I got my lap top to keep busy during the down time though.

I feel your pain brother. I had just gotten my copy of Portal 2 two days after release date and wouldn't you know PSN was down and I couldn't link it up to Steam. I really wanted to try out the cross-platform features.

same here i was getting stoned and i couldn't even watch netflix. so my 420 holiday sucked ass we lost it aronud 3 in the morning and easter 2 and now i want my black ops and bf2 and my socom 4 online i did pay $59.99 plus tax a game . if it helps il buy playstation plus but y if thid is what i have to deal with. they could put us back on and fix the problem y were online then to change it at a random time so the hackers dont know but for now il stand behind you PSN. no seriously, quit Q_Q'ing and go the f**k outside for a change! and quit blaming Sony. sure, if they didnt have such sh*tty security on their most overused feature (*cough*stupidc odfanboys*cough *)they wouldnt have this problem. but sony didnt screw you out of playing your precious shiny sh*tstain on your mantle. so instead of trying to prestige in blops or w/e the hell your doing, put down that f**king controller, dry your fanboy eyes, and go skate or bowling or mastu...pick up a girlfriend.

i think i could wait a little longer for psn, after all i have had a playstation for many years and have to thank sony for ever making it as it has brought alot of joy to me and my kids. i just hope i dont lose my credit that was in my wallet. still have faith in you sony. Playstation forever!!!

You know what's funny? The dev network is apparently still up. Hack your PS3, log into the dev network, select the retail CoD server (not necessarily PSN) and you're right into the game.

You'll probably be alone, though.
