They're not saying anything specific about it, but based on this interview, it sounds like Valve is dropping hints as to their next projects -- for the PS3 and Xbox 360.



So says programmerJeep Barnett, "We absolutely could do another game on the platforms that exist as they do now, not just with Portal, but in terms of other games that Valve is developing. I don't think that's something that would prevent us from making a game. We wouldn't say we're not going to ship this until the next generation comes out.

So really, what game is this, Valve? Barnett wouldn't budge, however, even when straight-out asked if this could be Half Life 2: Episode III. However, he doesn't think the company would be all too agog to release it  until after DotA comes out at the tailend of 2011.



So said he, "I think that DotA 2 is probably going to be our next game. We don't necessarily line things up in terms of, until this ships we cannot ship something else. Sometimes some things will cross paths. But as things look right now i think DotA is our next game.



In the meantime, you have Portal to enjoy and watch out for on your Xbox 360, PS3 or PC. It comes out next month, April 21st.
