A new PS3 accessory is on its way, and what do you know, it will be bringing in the QWERTY feature on the console's remote control.

This accessory is developed by manufacturer Hyperkin, and will be dubbed as the PS3 Remotext. As the name implies, it's going to let gamers text each other on the PSN, and of course, to use the dual analog sticks and buttons to play your games.

Explained Steven Mar, the manufacturer's Business Director, "The PS3 Remotext is a great solution for texting and watching movies. It has everything you need to access all of the PS3's major functions, providing an easy-to-use way to control and enjoy the system."

Here are the features of the Hyperkin PS3 Remotext:

  • DVD/ Blu-ray mdeia control capabilities
  • QWERTY keypad
  • Directional analog control
  • Rechargeable battery with USB charging cable
  • Receiving dongle

While Hyperkin made public all these information about the PS3 Remotext, they have yet to set a specific date for its "early June" release, nor of its pricing information.

That one on your Google page looks like PowerA didn't care too much about putting quality into it, cheap looking item.

The fact that it doesn't allow bluetooth connectivity makes it completely worthless to me. You'd think that with a console that supports bluetooth it would eliminate all these stupid infrared dongles -_-

Or we could just buy the exisiting official ps3 keypad, seeing as the normal controllers let us control blu-ray/dvd as well.

That and the fact this thing is fugly as hell!
