As part of the growing trend of "We'll do anything to get you to buy our game on day one instead of waiting for it to hit the bargain bin," Activision and Radical Entertainment are putting out a limited edition of Prototype 2 called the RADNET Edition. This edition will come with a one-time-only code that will net you 55 exclusive pieces of content that will be released over the course of 7 weeks.

These items will obviously include in-game gear and mutations, but it will also include new challenges and events, themes and avatar stuff, behind-the-scenes videos, and more. If you participate in the RADNET Edition's weekly events, you can unlock more stuff, such as "the ultimate shape-shifting mutation" - whatever that is.

This reminds me of Kingdom of Amalur's online pass...for a game that has no online content. It is simply an enticement to get you to buy the game early, though this one is a bit meatier. I can't imagine playing it for 7 weeks straight, however.
